(English) How did my abandoned bamboo grow

I can’t really remember when, why and how I got so intrigued by bamboo. One influence was my Grandfather, who used it to build sophisticated fishing poles and kept some stock of bamboo poles around even after he switched to glas- and later carbon fibre poles. Around 2010 I got really fascinated after seeing a documentation about the Green School Building in Bali, which led me to Jörg Stamm a german carpenter who emigrated to Colombia and applied (and adapted) his carpentry skills to use bamboo poles instead of wooden beams.

In  2016 I had the opportunity to visit a bamboo building workshop given by Jörg Stamm in Puebla / Mexico. After the workshop I visited a bamboo nursery in Veracruz where I purchased 5 Bambusa Oldhamii  and 5 Guadua Angustafolia seedlings. Susanne Lucas was visiting the workshop and the nursery at the same time. She was kind enough to give me some tips how to prepare the seedlings for the longer trip back to Paraguay.

Once back I planted the seedlings into some pots to give them time to recover and root.
